Security With Every Stitch, Savings With Every Suture

QUILL™

device has been tried and true in more than 25 million procedures. Its unique barbed design eliminates the tedious, time-consuming step of tying knots to secure the closure in soft tissue approximation.

The bidirectional Quill™ device is available in a complete range of absorbable and nonabsorbable materials and configurations including Monoderm™, PDO, Nylon and Polypropylene. The unidirectional Quill™ variable loop device is available in absorbable Monoderm™ and PDO configurations, as well as Polypropylene configurations. The Quill™ device utilizes a consistent and equal amount of material mass compared with traditional suture and is available in sizes 5-0 to 2.

As with traditional sutures, the Quill™ device suture size is determined by its OUTER diameter. It is therefore recommended that when using the Quill™ device, you upsize by one USP compared with traditional suture.

For example if previously using a 3-0 traditional suture, we recommend using a 2-0 Quill™ device.

SINCE 2006, QUILL™ DEVICE HAS MADE A UNIQUE CONTRIBUTION TO WOUND CLOSURE

  • Delivering faster wound closure with less material required in plastic surgery procedures1

  • Achieving up to 50% reduction in closure times in orthopedic surgery procedures2,3

  • Securing stronger, more water-tight closures in urological surgeries1,4
